Hotel De Boer

The forty-room Hotel De Boer was built in 1909 by Hermann de Boer, who has earlier established a restaurant in Surabaya. Located on Lapangan Merdeka, formerly the Esplanade, the hotel is now called the Dharma Deli. The original entrance, reception area, and an old wing remain in place. The card is the work of the Japanese photographer Asahi, whose studio was located on Huttenbach Street in Medan during the first four decades of this century.
