Togog is a comic figure allied to a raksasa kingdom who can be used in any lakon. He serves as an advance scout for the raksasa armies when they are embarked on a journey to a foreign land.

Togog is knowledgeable in such matters because he has traveled widely between many countries in the service of many kings, whom he serves for a while and then abandons for another. (Thus it is that people who frequently change employers and have no lasting loyalty to one are compared to Togog.)

Togog is a friend of Semar’s, and is actually older than Semar: thus Semar calls him “kakang” or “kang” [older brother].

Togog has juling [staring] eyes, a wide, flat nose and extremely protruding lips with no teeth. He is bald with only a bid of hair at the nape of the neck. He wears bracelets and the slobog batik design. He carries a keris and a wedung [a large knife with a broadly curving blade].
