Hyang Antaboga is a god who reigns in a palace in the seventh layer below the earth, Saptapratala. He is known as the snake god because he can metamorphose into a snake. His subterranean palace is sumptuous and said to rival in splendor the abode of the gods, Suralaya.
Hyang Antaboga has a daughter, Dewi Nagagini. She marries Raden Wrekudara and bears him a son, Raden Antasena (sometimes known as antareja).
Hyang Antaboga has kedondongan eyes, a pointed nose and delicate mouth. He wears the topong crown and a diadem with the garuda ornament in back. He has a beard. He wears a jacket, a slendang and shoes–the typical costume of a god.
