Takna Lawe

Takna Lawe is a form of spoken poetry told in the epic style that originated from Dayak Kayan (West Borneo) that relates to a character from Lawe folk lore, who came down from heaven to live among humans on earth.

Takna Lawe, which has entertaining traits, also speaks informatively about the Dayak Kayan culture and contributes a strong sense of pride for the people of the Dayak Kayan tribe, while providing an incomparable perspective from the point of view of the Kayans.
