Narasoma

Raden Narasoma is the son of Prabu Mandrapati of mandraka. Upon reaching maturity he is to be married according to his father’s wishes, but he refuses and leaves the kingdom accompanied by his sister, Dewi Madrim. His intention in leaving his homeland is to enter a contest for the hand of Dewi Kunti, a maiden in the kingdom of Madura. However, on the road to Madura he meets Raden pandu who has just won the contest and has already been chosen as Kunti’s husband. Narasoma is furious and challenges Pandu to a duel. Narasoma loses and is obliged to yield his sister as the price of his defeat.

Dewi Madrim is then married Pandu, and she later gives birth to the twins Nakula and Sadewa, the fourth and fifth of the five Pandawa brothers.

Raden Narasoma has kedondongan eyes and a pointed nose. Hi head is tilted forward. His hair is worn in the gembel knot. He wears a diadem with the garuda ornament in back and waderan ear ornaments. He wears the ulur-ulur necklace, bracelets, armbands and anklets. He wears the bokongan raton loincloth.
