Basukesti

Prabu Basukesti is the king of Wirata and the grandson of Prabu Basupati, the former king of Wirata. During his reign he constantly increases the power and authority of his kingdom and Wirata becomes renowned far and wide for its great strength and property.

But Prabu Basukesti is unhappy in his personal life because his many wives always die prematurely. He is hence considered an evil influence and out of shame he renounces his throne and goes into exile. He becomes an ascetic-priest with the name Resi Maosada.

After years of meditation he obtains a wife, Dewi Adrika, and he finally returns to rule once more in Wirata.
Prabu Basukesti has kedondongan eyes, a pointed nose and a beard. He wears a royal crown, a three-tiered diadem with the garuda ornament in back and waderan ear ornaments. He wears the praba, the ulur-ulur necklace, bracelets, armbands and anklets. He wears the bokongan raton dress.
