Telaga Warna

Telaga Warna, the "colored lake", is located in the Gunung Mas tea estate in the area of Puncak Pass, West Java. The lake derives its name from the colored reflections on its surface. This card, unsent, was produced by G.J.C.Kolff. The Dutchman Kolff arrived in Batavia in 1850 and became a partner of Haren Noman, who established a bookstore and publishing house in 1848. When Noman returned to Europe in 1857 due to illness, the bookstore took on the remaining partner’s name.
